DFC Team Central
When did you start working at GSA?
I started working with GSA in the middle of May 2021, almost exactly a year ago!
What did you study in college?
I changed my major almost a dozen times throughout college and ended up finishing with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies which is a program that essentially lets you make your own degree. If I had to sum it up, I'd say it was International Development as most of the classes I took revolved around small business, international relations, economics, and urban planning. This spring semester I started attending CU Denver in hopes of getting both a Masters degree in public administration and urban planning.
Where did you work before GSA?
Right before GSA I worked with Blue Spruce Habitat for Humanity up in Clear Creek County. I was working as a construction systems developer where I created and ran their home repair program. Prior to that, I was in the Peace Corps in North Macedonia up until evacuation due to COVID-19.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
I love doing basically anything and everything outside. Camping, skiing, thru-hiking, and more. I also love to take a backpack and go to a new country for a few weeks to explore. I also enjoy being part of my local community and have just started getting involved with a few neighborhood groups in the RiNo community.
What do you like about working at the DFC and GSA?
With being a building manager, I really enjoy how much I get to interact with both dozens of agencies as well as nearly every division in GSA. It's been really great meeting everyone in GSA so far and I've really enjoyed learning about the work all our different customer agencies do!
Anything else you'd like to share?
If you ever notice a problem or have an idea for improvement, don't hesitate to reach out. It's what I'm here for!
