Southeast Sunbelt Region oversees the delivery of real estate, technology and procurement solutions to government and the American people in eight states, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
The U.S. General Services Administration recently appointed Kevin Kerns as regional commissioner for the Public Buildings Service in the agency’s Southeast Sunbelt Region. As regional commissioner, Kerns oversees the management of nearly 1,500 federally owned buildings and leased facilities, covering more than 44 million square feet across eight southeastern states.
The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has the honor of not only serving the American people, but also supporting federal agencies as they carry out their critical missions. GSA’s comprehensive mission-support role ties back to our founding in 1949 by President Harry S. Truman who sought to create one agency to help the government avoid “senseless duplication, excess cost, and confusion in handling supplies, and providing space.”
