Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility
Advancing equity in FY 2024: Our vision for progress
Our updated action plan [PDF - 351 KB] aims to further advance GSA’s work to reduce barriers to equity for the communities we serve through the agency’s high impact program areas like federal procurement, buildings and technology design and delivery. It also gives increased emphasis to GSA’s role in helping to strengthen the government’s ability to be more agile, responsive, and reflective of Americans’ needs through evaluation and data-driven insights.
Our goals
- Advance equity, economic justice, and diversity of the American supplier base through federal procurement.
- Deliver equitable, accessible, and inclusive digital government to the American public.
- Advance equity, economic security, and environmental justice through large-scale construction projects and the federal buildings footprint.
- Advance equity and effectiveness of federal programs through rigorous review, evaluation and continuous improvement.
- Advance equitable access to opportunity and federal resources for local communities and minority-serving institutions.
From how we build and support our staff to how we ensure equitable access, we’re dedicated to delivering for all of America’s communities through our work across the government.
Below, we highlight some of the key priority areas and actions we’ve accomplished in response to the Biden-Harris Administration’s whole-of-government chargeto take concrete steps that address systemic barriers and expand access to opportunity for underserved communities.
