EIS Delegation of Procurement Authority Training
One of the government’s top priorities for telecom is planning and executing the transition of services from expiring Networx, WITS 3, and the Regional Local Services contracts. Agency Ordering Contracting Officers (OCO) or other officials with authority to obligate funds must receive a Delegation of Procurement Authority (DPA) from GSA prior to using EIS or issuing task orders.
A key element of the strategy for a successful transition is for GSA to provide effective training support to agencies. In addition to the DPA training available through Defense Acquisition University (DAU), GSA is conducting an interactive, virtual DPA training session offered on two separate dates, please choose one. Topics covered will include:
· Review of the DPA and its purpose
· Description of FAR 16.505 requirements for task
orders under EIS
· Review of the EIS OCO role and responsibilities
