Course: FCL-GSA-0029 GSA Schedules vs. Open Market

Course Description:
This course will familiarize you with commonly-used methods of acquisition: issuing task or delivery orders under GSA’s Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) (FAR Subpart 8.4), and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures of FAR 13 or negotiating a stand-alone contract under FAR Part 15. This course will explore the differences and similarities between Subpart 8.4 and Parts 13 & 15 procedures, advantages and disadvantages for various situations, and help you analyze the alternatives as you develop your acquisition strategy. This is a two (2) CLP credit course.

  1. Federal Employees: Login and register at FAITAS.
    Note: The FAITAS’ security certificate has been upgraded. You may select "Advanced," then choose "Proceed to faitas.army.mil (unsafe)".   2. Select "I Agree".
  3. If you're already registered in FAITAS, log in with your email and password.
  4. If you don't have a FAITAS account, select the Register Here link on the FAITAS login page.
  5. After logging in, your Dashboard will appear.
  6. Above your Dashboard, you will see menu options such as: My Status, Manage Career, etc.
  7. Select Manage Career.
  8. Select Training.
  9. Search for Training.
  10. Select Advanced Search.
  11. From the drop-down menu select Teaching School.
  12. Select "GSA-General Services Administration" as the Teaching School.
  13. Select on Search.
  14. A listing of GSA courses will appear (GSA Webinars start with ‘FCL’).
  15. Select the courses you’d like to register for, and detailed participation info will follow. Please add the class information to your calendar.
