PSHC Industry: Vendor Compliance with Government IT Security Requirements 10/12/21

Federal agencies (including DoD, Homeland Security, NASA, Department of Energy) are requiring industry suppliers to be in compliance with systems security mandates. Among vendors that are currently in compliance, there are increased sales opportunities becoming available.

Compliance timelines are being established for all agencies. These actions are in direct support of (new) mandates to fortify national security measures.

It is estimated that by 2025, DoD will only allow bidding and contract awards to companies that meet the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) levels 1-5 as determined by an outside auditor.
