Earthquake Readiness Training

Earthquakes are sudden rolling or shaking events caused by movement under the earth’s surface. They happen along cracks in the earth's surface, called fault lines, and can be felt over large areas. All 50 states and 5 U.S. territories are at some risk for earthquakes which can happen at any time of the year.
Scientists are working on predicting when an earthquake will strike, but are unable to make earthquake predictions at this time. Therefore, earthquakes should be treated as impending disasters which we need to be prepared for should the ground start to shake.
The following Earthquake Readiness Training will provide valuable information you should know if you should experience the frightening effects of an earthquake.
