Applied Solar Control Retrofit Films
GPG-017, January 2015
Applied solar-control films can reduce cooling demand by reflecting or absorbing solar energy before it reaches interior spaces. GPG assessed the performance of a spectrally-selective film at the Goodfellow Federal Center in St. Louis, MO, and, coupled with energy modeling, found potential heating and cooling energy savings of up to 29% in cooling-dominated climates.
