John A. Sarcone III Named Regional Administrator of GSA’s Northeast and Caribbean Region

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) today announced the appointment of John A. Sarcone III to serve as the regional administrator of GSA's Northeast and Caribbean Region, effective February 12, 2018.

An appointee of President Donald J. Trump, Sarcone will oversee all of GSA’s operations in New York, New Jersey, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands; including management of federal real estate and information technology. He will also be responsible for an inventory of 538 government-owned or leased buildings, and over 600 employees.

"I'm very pleased to welcome John to the GSA leadership team in the Northeast and Caribbean Region,” said GSA Administrator Emily Murphy. "His leadership and legal experience in both the public and private sectors will be invaluable as we continue our focus on providing ethical leadership, reducing duplication, increasing competition and improving agency transparency."

Sarcone has a long record of leadership experience in both the public and private sectors. He has served as managing partner of the Sarcone Law Firm for almost 20 years, overseeing all areas of the firm’s practice. He also served as attorney and counsel for the towns of Eastchester and Cornwall in New York.

Sarcone received a Bachelor of Science degree from Pace University in White Plains, New York, and a Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law.
