GSA Assists USDA With Recovery Act Modernization Effort

$500 million technology award will aid producers, ranchers and farmers.

WASHINGTON — The U.S. General Services Administration Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM) today competitively awarded SRA International, Inc., of Fairfax, Virginia a blanket purchase agreement (BPA) against GSA’s federal supply schedule 70 contract for enterprise resource planning tools.

The award assists an important GSA customer, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, with its mandate to use Recovery Act funds to modernize agency program systems over the next seven years. GSA’s award makes it possible for the USDA to improve the delivery of agricultural services and benefits by using modern, secure and reliable technology.

The USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) will be one of the first agencies to use the BPA to support this modernization process which will make the delivery of agricultural services and benefits more efficient. This BPA will streamline farm program business processes, rapidly implement new farm programs, transition current programs to modern reliable technology platforms and improve access and convenience for producers, ranchers and farmers.

FEDSIM has been achieving success for federal agencies’ large complex technical projects since 1972. FEDSIM provides award-wining solutions over a project’s entire life cycle of planning, acquisition and post-award engagement.
