GSA Receives 6 Excellence in Partnership Awards
GSA has received six awards from the Coalition for Government Procurement as an organization that makes significant strides in promoting and employing Federal Acquisition Service and its programs.
The awards were presented at the coalition’s 11th Excellence in Partnership Awards dinner Nov. 1 in McLean, Va.
Five FAS organizations and individuals received awards for outstanding acquisition and marketing service. GSA’s Public Buildings Service Industry Relations Group was also recognized by the coalition, as the first recipient of the award for Most Effective Use of FAS in Support of the Public Buildings Service Mission for its work in raising awareness of GSA contracts to promote total workplace solutions to federal agencies.
“The awards recognize the outstanding work civil servants and our industry partners do each day to keep government working and moving forward,” said FAS Commissioner Steven J. Kempf.
The following GSA representatives were honored at the event:
Most Innovative Acquisition Office: Office of General Supplies/Services Enterprise Supply Chain Solutions Division;
Most Effective Contracting Officer or Project Manager: Paul Martin, senior contracting officer, Enterprise Governmentwide Acquisition Contracts Center West;
Most Active Marketing Organization: GSA FAS Office of Travel, Motor Vehicle and Card Services, Employee Relocation Resource Center;
Best New Negotiator: Katie Hughes, contract specialist, GSA FAS Integrated Workplace Acquisition Center;
Lifetime Achievement Award: Cheryl Goff, Section Chief, Greater Southwest Acquisition Center; and
Most Effective Use of FAS in Support of the Public Buildings Service Mission: GSA PBS Industry Relations Division for its work in raising the awareness of GSA contracts and programs that promote total workplace solutions to its customers, enhancing the ability of PBS to better serve its customers.
