Three Impact Fellows Join Chicago Office

CHICAGO – Three DePaul University students recently joined Regional Administrator Ann Kalayil’s office, serving as GSA Impact Fellows for the next nine months.

Head and shoulders shot of Constantine Anton Constantine "Cam" Anton, 26, originally from River Forest, is a second year graduate student in DePaul University’s School of Public Service. He’s studying for a Master of Public Administration degree with a focus on public and emergency management.

Cam has worked for the Red Cross for four years, beginning as an AmeriCorps volunteer. He enjoys swimming, biking, and shooting in his free time and hopes to eventually work with FEMA on an Incident Management Assistance Team or for a municipality in a similar role.

Cam applied for the GSA Impact Fellowship for an opportunity to meet and serve government stakeholders, develop skills in policy analysis and project management, and gain experience in federal government administration.

Head and shoulders shot of Ashley Crow with American flag behindAshley Crow, 24, a native of Truro, Iowa, is a first-year graduate student in DePaul’s School of Public Service working on a master’s degree in International Public Service with a possible thesis on women’s education in north and east Africa.

Ashley has worked for Butler University as an England and Middle East Program Advisor, for Transparency International Morocco as an intern and English instructor, and currently for the Coleman Entrepreneurship Center as a writing and research assistant.

Ashley enjoys jazz music and painting and is excited to work as a GSA Impact Fellow to develop project management skills, public engagement experience, and knowledge of federal government operations.

Head and shoulders shot of Eric Skawski with flag behindEric Skawski, 21, originally from a western suburb of Chicago, is a senior at DePaul University studying political science.

A national scholarship Army ROTC cadet, Eric will be commissioned as an active duty Second Lieutenant of the U.S. Army in June 2015. His past Army ROTC experiences include interning with the 4th Combat Air Brigade, serving in the Black Hawk Helicopter Assault Battalion at Fort Carson, Colo., and completing the Bataan Memorial Death March (Heavy Division) and a developmental assignment in Bacau, Romania, with the 95th Flotilla.

Eric also worked as a student assistant for three years in the Chicago Field Office of the U.S. Secret Service. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, distance running, and traveling. Skawski applied for the GSA Fellowship to increase his experience with the federal government and acquire new professional skills.
