Walk Your Way To Health
Did you know that walking is one of the ideal forms of exercise? It’s free and you can do it anytime in any place; no special skill, pricey membership or equipment. It is the best way to build strong bones, muscles and tendons without getting hurt. And it’s one of the easiest ways to walk your way to health.
Walking is something most of us do every day. The Denver Federal Center has a vast network of trails waiting for you, including a one or two mile walking loop. Simply throw on a pair of comfy walking shoes and get outside. Take a much needed lunch break. Move a meeting outside. Or simply get a little moment of fresh air just for you. Any way you do it, get outside and walk. Join our first of three organized DFC walks on June 11, July 22, and August 6, at 11:30 a.m in front of Building 41.

It gives you energy: It might seem like a paradox, but a brisk walk is one of the best natural energizers around. It boosts circulation and increases oxygen supply to each and every cell in your body, helping you to feel more alert and alive.
