GSA Issues Request for Information on Reopening Multiple Award Schedule 75

Feedback requested from Industry on plans to reopen for new offers

WASHINGTON, DC -- The General Services Administration (GSA) has announced plans to re-open Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) 75 – Office Products and Supplies for new offers. This important step forward follows several months of discussions between GSA, the vendor community, and industry stakeholders to determine the future direction of MAS 75.

The Request for Information (RFI) will gather feedback from industry and other relevant stakeholders on proposed plans for re-opening MAS 75 to new offers. The information received will be utilized to make appropriate acquisition decisions.

“This RFI builds on the Industry Day we held earlier in the year and incorporates other feedback, too. We received great comments from our customers, various industry associations, wholesalers and manufacturers in the office supply industry, and have come up with ideas that we think will make MAS 75 a new and improved solution for purchasing office supplies,”  said Peter Han, GSA Northeast Caribbean Supply and Acquisition Center Director. “A major goal of the new solution remains increasing opportunity for small business participation by at least 5%.”

The RFI is posted on the Interact Schedule 75 Community Group. GSA intends to re-open the MAS 75 to new offers in FY17. GSA is not requesting or accepting offers at this time for MAS 75.

With the reopening of MAS 75, new offers will only be accepted for a new enhanced Special Item Number (SIN) consolidating FSSI OS and MAS 75 into one acquisition vehicle. Revised SIN 75 200 and SIN 75 85 will remain closed to new offers.

The new enhanced SIN will incorporate the Best In Class (BIC) features of the Federal Strategic Sourcing Initiative for Office Supplies (FSSI OS3) solution while also using the robust structure of MAS 75. FSSI OS3 has achieved enhanced vendor requirements, improved pricing and savings, data spending tracking capabilities and vendor accountability. GSA plans to continue with FSSI OS3 as a separate acquisition vehicle until final option expiration in 2019.
