Northbound Pedestrian Processing to Relocate to Temporary Facility at San Ysidro Land Port of Entry

What: GSA and the US Customs and Border Protection will relocate the existing northbound pedestrian processing facility on the east side of the San Ysidro Land Port of Entry to a temporary facility opening on Monday, May 22, 2017, at 12:01 a.m. The temporary pedestrian crossing will be located within the Milo Building (just north of the historic Customs House) and will feature increased pedestrian processing capacity with eight inspection lanes. It will replace the current pedestrian facility on the east side of the port, located within the historic Customs House. The Customs House will be remodeled as part of Phase II construction work.

Where: The new northbound pedestrian facility is located within the Milo Building at 795 East San Ysidro Boulevard, southeast of the San Ysidro Trolley Station. The approach from Mexico for northbound pedestrians crossing on the east side of the port remains the same; however, pedestrians will have a new route that takes them northbound on the easternmost vehicle inspection lane towards the Milo Building. Please refer to the attached image for further details.

Note: Southbound pedestrian crossing on the east side of the port remains unchanged. Additionally, pedestrians at the San Ysidro LPOE will have the option of crossing through PedWest, located on the west side of the port and adjacent to the Virginia Avenue Transit Center.
