GSA was also recognized as a leader in green buildings with the Green Lease Leader award

WASHINGTON -- Today U.S. General Services Administration’s (GSA) Administrator Denise Turner Roth delivered the keynote at this year's Buildings Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International Conference and Expo in National Harbor, Md.

“Enhancing GSA’s role as catalyst for economic development in communities across the country is a key element of my vision for the agency’s future,” said GSA Administrator Denise Turner Roth. “Supporting downtown business districts and development projects is a central component of this mission, and our relationship with BOMA is invaluable in this regard. I look forward to strengthening our partnership with BOMA and greatly appreciate their support.”

During the conference, GSA was also recognized for its commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability by being named a 2016 Green Lease Leader, a designation supported by the Department of Energy (DOE)’s Better Buildings Alliance. GSA strives to be a leader in sustainability through policy and practice, using technology and innovation to achieve energy efficiency and cost savings for American taxpayers. The Green Lease Leaders designation is awarded to those organizations who exhibit leadership in energy efficiency and sustainability through implementing green leases.
