GSA Administrator Denise Turner Roth Emboldens UNCG Students to Serve as Bold and Confident Ambassadors of Spartan Values

Former Greensboro City Manager shared personal journey at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s May 2016 Commencement Ceremony

 

 

GREENSBORO - Today, the Administrator of the General Services Administration, Denise Turner Roth, gave the commencement speech at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG).  Roth spoke to the students about life lessons throughout her career and encouraged the graduates to live the core values of UNCG which will provide needed direction in the work they do in the future.

“Graduates, you have a mission to go out into the world with boldness and confidence, promoting the themes that define the UNC Greensboro community: excellence and opportunity for all,” Roth said. “This is how you find out who you are.”

“We were honored to have Denise Turner Roth give a powerful, inspiring message to the Class of 2016 this morning,” said UNCGC Chancellor Franklin D. Gilliam Jr. “Denise embodies the values of excellence and opportunity that are core to UNCG’s identity, and she represents the success that is possible for our new graduates.”
