The CWT prices include both transportation-related services (including a 4% IRR [Insurance-related general increase] and 5% accessorial bump) and thirty (30) days of Storage-in-Transit (SIT). A 56% discount was applied to the transportation-related charges and a 52% discount was applied to the SIT charges.

Examples

  1. If the employee moved from Washington, DC to Wichita, KS, a distance of 1,292 miles, with 10,000 pounds of household goods:
    1. The 1,292 miles results in one using the rate of $147.82 per CWT rate.
    2. $147.82 X 10,000/100 (to get a CWT weight) = $14,782 for the move.
  2. If the employee moved from Ft. Wayne, IN to Roanoke, VA, a distance of 499 miles, with 10,000 pounds of household goods:

    2. $123.70 X 10,000/100 (to get a CWT weight) = $12,370 for the move.
  3. If the employee moved from Seattle, WA to Washington, DC, a distance of 2,795 miles, with 10,000 pounds of household goods:
