GSA's Center for Historic Buildings Announces Winners for 2003 Heritage Awards

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Winning projects for the 2003 Public Buildings Service Heritage Awards were announced Wednesday by the Center for Historic Buildings during a ceremony hosted by the U.S. General Services Administration.

The Heritage Awards program recognizes exemplary preservation projects and initiatives that further GSA's stewardship goals. A jury of preservation and design professionals selected winning projects. Awards were presented in five categories: Completed Alterations; Adaptive Use; Conservation and Restoration; Education, Outreach and Community Involvement; and, Stewardship. The awards were presented to the project teams by F. Joseph Moravec, Commissioner of GSA's Public Buildings Service, at a ceremony held at the Hotel Monaco in Washington, D.C.

The following 2003 Heritage Awards recognize achievements in the preservation and stewardship of GSA's historic buildings.
