GSA Announces Collaboration Between and The ASPIRA Association

WASHINGTON –, the official source of U.S. government information in Spanish, has formed a partnership with the ASPIRA Association. The relationship between these two organizations will provide increased public access to government information and services among Hispanic youth.

The ASPIRA Association is a national Hispanic organization, founded in 1961, that works to empower Hispanic youth and enable them to succeed in the educational arena, develop their leadership skills and serve their community. GSA's Office of Citizen Services and ASPIRA signed a Memorandum of Understanding to facilitate the integration of official government content in Spanish from, and in English from, to ASPIRA’s website. In addition, the relationship will support other educational outreach programs and activities aimed at providing ASPIRA constituents with access to valuable government resources.

According to the US Census Bureau, the growth among Hispanic youth has significantly contributed to the Hispanic population increase in the United States. Despite their gains in population size, Hispanic youth still trail their non-Hispanics counterparts in educational attainment.
