GSA Hosts Cyber Industry Day.
VISION UPDATE: July 11, 2016
This week, GSA Administrator Denise Turner Roth will travel to San Francisco to engage with industry leaders, CIOs and local officials at GSA’s Cyber Industry Day. The effort was in support of President Obama’s Cybersecurity National Action Plan (CNAP) which directs the federal government to test, assess, and address cybersecurity issues.
The industry day is the first of it’s kind in Silicon Valley and included the following objectives:
*To provide an opportunity for government stakeholders and industry partners to ask CNAP-related questions
*Discuss new and emerging cybersecurity services and how those services can be used by federal departments and agencies
*Support GSA’s mission to deliver the best value in real estate, acquisition, and technology services to government and the American people
The Administrator will also be hosting a ribbon cutting for SuperPublic in 50 UN Plaza. Then the Administrator will travel to San Diego to host a Business Forward event expanding the conversation around bringing innovation and technology to the federal space. Finally, the Administrator will be traveling to a ribbon cutting at the San Ysidro Land Port of Entry.
GSA is a driver of innovation, technology, sustainability and economic development in cities and communities across the nation.
