Constructed in 1960, the four-story federal building located in downtown Bemidji, Minnesota, is within a block of the Beltrami County Judicial Building, Bemidji Fire Station, Bemidji Post Office, and the County Administration Building. GSA acquired the building in 1974 through a transfer from the U.S. Post Office.

Key Tenants

The building houses the Bureau of Indian Affairs (U.S. Dept. of Interior) and the Indian Health Service (U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services). In the most recent (2015) Tenant Satisfaction Survey, 50% rated the building and GSA services a four or five on a five-point scale.


Tenant parking is available on-site. Short-term visitor parking is available on surrounding streets.

History and Architectural Features 

Made of concrete brick and polished granite, the Bemidji Federal Building features concrete columns framing a flat roof and an terrazzo lobby inside. The building has four floors, a basement, and a mezzanine.
