What You Should Do in an Emergency

DFC employees should follow their building Occupant Emergency Plan (OEP) in case of an emergency. The OEP should be reviewed annually for all employees and practiced annually as a building.

If there is an emergency, you should  call 911 or the Denver MegaCenter number is 877.437.7411.  If you call 911 make sure you indicate that you are on the Denver Federal Center and stay on the line until after the dispatcher has hung up. The dispatcher may have several questions or give some directions to the caller to follow to assist with those responding.

In an Active Shooter situation, it is preferred that the caller remain on the phone as long as possible so that give they can provide updated activity and the responding officers have the best information to track down the shooter.
