Northwest/Arctic Region's Federal Center South USACE Headquarters praised for Excellence by Associated General Contractors

The Northwest/Arctic Region’s Federal Center South project, headquarters for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Seattle District, recently garnered the 2013 Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Washington Build Washington Construction Grand Award for the "Public Building $50-100 Million" category. With several awards so far, including the prestigious American Institute of Architects National Committee on the Environment (COTE) Top 10 and Regional Civil Design from the American Institute of Architects, the USACE Headquarters has gained positive notoriety as one of the most decorated public buildings in the Pacific Northwest. The AGC of Washington recognizes the professional excellence and community commitment of AGC member firms with the annual BUILD WASHINGTON AWARDS program. Every spring, AGC members have the opportunity to submit projects for awards’ consideration by a panel of construction industry experts. Awards in construction, safety, technology, community service, project manager of the year, and superintendent of the year are presented annually at the Build Washington Awards Evening of Celebration, the industry’s premier recognition event.
