Office of Strategic Communication
The Office of Strategic Communication (OSC) is GSA’s singular resource for all internal and external communications needs. OSC's main job is to use communications to help the agency meet its mission and business goals.
OSC offers a variety of services designed to meet business needs, including:
- media relations
- web-based communication
The Office of Public Engagement creates opportunities to engage new and existing stakeholders in support of GSA's mission. The Public Engagement team develops outreach events and media messaging (especially social media) to enhance the public's understanding of GSA, the products and services they offer.
Event Planning and Management: Whether it’s a new product launch, a ribbon cutting or an online town hall, the Office of Public Engagement is here to ensure that the agency’s message reaches the widest audience and to identify and bring in stakeholder groups who may not have worked with GSA in the past.
Speaking Engagements: The Public Engagement office is busy identifying events and conferences where GSA leaders should be presenting. The office is always looking for knowledgeable, engaging individuals to speak on GSA's behalf at these events.
Social Media: From Facebook to Twitter; Instagram to LinkedIn, Media Affairs will find and use the right social media platform to get the agency’s message out, and will help the agency organize and manage online events like Twitter Town Halls and Google+ Hangouts.
