Matchmaking Session at OSBU's Small Business First Fair
NCR's Subcontracting Matchmaking Session provided a unique opportunity for small businesses to network and learn what services the Region and Central Office buys.
Joining forces in an ongoing effort to address the needs and concerns of small business, the National Capital Region (NCR) hosted a Subcontracting Matchmaking Session during the Office of Small Business Utilization's (OSBU) Small Business First Fair at Central Office on Wednesday, June 17, 2015.
The Subcontracting Matchmaking Session afforded small businesses in attendance, specifically 8(a), Women-Owned, Service Disabled and HubZone an opportunity to network, learn the services the Region and Central Office buys, meet with companies doing business with the Federal Government and present information on the services they provide in a “speed match" networking session.
As a global leader in small business, GSA’s Small Business First Fair is an effective and productive resource identifying qualified small businesses to work on complex GSA projects. As the largest Region in the Agency, NCR awarded over $190 million alone to small businesses, 12.51% of the total GSA contract spending in FY14.
NCR, through its OSBU office, will also continue to conduct outreach through networking sessions, roundtables, webinars and workshops in order to assist small businesses throughout the Region.
