COMSATCOM has you covered for all of your agency’s commercial satellite requirements in any commercially available frequency band. We partnered with the Defense Information Systems Agency to provide streamlined, easy-to-use contract vehicles that help meet your agency's complex custom COMSATCOM requirements.
The scope of COMSATCOM includes products and services such as:
- leased commercially available satellite bandwidth
- shared or private satellite subscription/managed services
- satellite phone services
- satellite terminals, phones, modems, and related equipment and services
Generally, terminals and equipment are not included under COMSATCOM unless the equipment is included as part of the subscription services price (Host Nation Agreements separately priced when required).
Our solutions include both transponded capacity and subscription services:
Transponded Capacity
- Dedicated bandwidth on a commercial satellite in any frequency band
- Includes all services necessary to allow to use the transponded capacity:
- Engineering (development of link budgets, transmission plans)
- Basic customer training (acquiring satellite signal, peak and polarization)
- Core management and control of the transponded capacity
- Required approvals
Subscription Services
- Commercial satellite services solutions, including terminals, in any frequency band (FSS, MSS, BSS)
- Include:
- Worldwide satellite-based Internet, voice, data, and video services
- Network management, monitoring, engineering, integration, and operations required to deliver the services
- May include fixed and/or mobile satellite services, along with service-enabling components such as terminals, teleports, and terrestrial interfaces
How do I buy COMSATCOM?
Agencies can order through eBuy and GSA Advantage and issue an RFI or RFQ to vendors using Special Item Number 517410.
Combine SINs to meet your requirements or try a blanket purchase agreement to easily fill recurring needs. You can also set aside the requirement for one or more socio-economic categories including but not limited to small businesses, veteran-owned businesses, and women-owned businesses.
