Federal Fleet Manager Certification Program
Important update: The login process to complete the FFMCP is changing. The multi-factor authentication is moving from Max.gov to Login.gov at the end of May. You can prepare for the change by creating a Login.gov account. If you already have a Login.gov account make sure you are able to login to your account. No other action is needed to prepare for this change. This change also means that federal entities with email addresses other than .gov and .mil will be able to register for the program.
The Federal Fleet Manager Certification Program (FFMCP) is comprehensive training for federal fleet management at all levels. The FFMCP was developed by GSA Fleet in conjunction with the GSA Office of Governmentwide Policy and is available to all GSA Fleet customers at no additional cost.
The program consists of six core courses and two electives. View FFMCP course descriptions [PDF - 115 KB]. All courses are self-paced, online and take approximately 1 hour to complete. The program provides an overview of federal vehicle policies and procedures. Your individual agency may have additional policies that you must adhere to. Direct all agency-specific policy questions to your agency’s headquarters, fleet manager, or general counsel’s office.
Users must register with a government email address. A Max.gov account is required for all users to login to the system.
In early summer, the Federal Fleet Manager Certification Program (FFMCP) will shift user authentication from MAX.gov to login.gov. This change enables users with emails other than .gov and .mil to to register for the program. To access FFMCP, ensure your login.gov account is linked to your government email used for FFMCP registration. We’ll notify enrolled FFMCP participants of the transition date once confirmed. Note: GSA personnel should not register for Learning Academy. They must complete the certification program through GSA Online University (OLU).
