Security Overview
The Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Federal Protective Service (FPS) provides law enforcement and security services to over one million tenants and daily visitors to federally owned and leased facilities nationwide. FPS' protection services focus directly on the interior security of the nation, and require close coordination and intelligence sharing with the investigative functions within DHS. FPS is a full service agency with a comprehensive HAZMAT, Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), Canine, and emergency response program as well as state-of-the-art communication and dispatch Mega centers.
