We advise the Administrator and agency leadership and supervise and maintain agency liaison with all members of Congress and congressional committees. We also serve as liaisons with state and local government officials and their official national organizations.
National Congressional Support Program
We provide comprehensive administrative, logistical, and procurement support to members of Congress for their approximately 1,400 district and state offices across the United States and the five major territories pursuant to applicable statute (40 U.S.C. 113(d)) and Memoranda of Agreement with the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives. In this role, we facilitate office relocations, procure goods and services, coordinate space renovations, manage inventory, and oversee the distribution of agency excess property in support of congressional requirements.
Legislative services
We are responsible for the agency’s compliance with the Office of Management and Budget Circular A-19, governing coordination of administration policy with OMB. Our staff members serve as the central contact point with OMB on legislative and related items including executive orders, enrolled bills, and the agency’s legislative items.
