Career paths at AAS

  • Contracting officer
    The CO is responsible for ensuring the performance of all necessary actions for effective and compliant contracting. The CO is the person with the sole authority to enter into, administer, and/or terminate contracts and make related determinations and findings.
  • Contract specialist
    The CS supports AAS business through the preparation and administration of AAS contractual actions. The CS issues solicitations, amendments, and modifications after sign-off from the CO and any other approvals for the specific action. They ensure contracting actions are complete, accurate, and contractually compliant.
  • Acquisition project manager
    The APM provides technical expertise in the development of pre-award materials such as acquisition planning, pre-solicitation, and pre-award technical documentation.
  • Project manager
    The PM acts as the liaison between the client and contractor, and is considered a trusted advisor. The primary responsibility of the PM is to lead the Integrated Project Team, known as the IPT, by planning, organizing, and executing client projects in accordance with all applicable regulations, policies, and processes throughout the project life cycle.
  • Property administrator
    The PA is responsible for the accountability of Government Furnished Property. This includes the management, administration, and monitoring of GFP in possession of contractors, including physical inventory as requested by the client.
  • Technical point of contact
    The TPOC provides technical expertise in the post-award monitoring and evaluation of contractor performance. TPOCs will be utilized in AAS multi-tenant or enterprise task orders and work directly with client stakeholders.

Additional terms and conditions

Traveler reimbursement is based on the location of the work activities and not the accommodations, unless lodging is not available at the work activity, then the agency may authorize the rate where lodging is obtained.

Unless otherwise specified, the per diem locality is defined as "all locations within, or entirely surrounded by, the corporate limits of the key city, including independent entities located within those boundaries."

Per diem localities with county definitions shall include"all locations within, or entirely surrounded by, the corporate limits of the key city as well as the boundaries of the listed counties, including independent entities located within the boundaries of the key city and the listed counties (unless otherwise listed separately)."

When a military installation or Government - related facility(whether or not specifically named) is located partially within more than one city or county boundary, the applicable per diem rate for the entire installation or facility is the higher of the rates which apply to the cities and / or counties, even though part(s) of such activities may be located outside the defined per diem locality.
