Gary Eberly, Branch Chief in our Real Estate Acquisition Division
Mid-Atlantic PBS is pleased to announce Gary Eberly as our new Technical Branch Chief in the Real Estate Acquisition Division (READ). The Real Estate Acquisition Division provides real estate policy guidance, oversight, and support to Regional PBS organizations in connection with the acquisition of real estate, and interest in real estate, by purchase, lease condemnation, or otherwise.
Most recently, Eberly served as the READ North Branch Chief and prior to that had been a lease contracting officer and a realty supervisor in READ for 13 years. As Technical Branch Chief, Eberly will lead a team that is responsible for a variety of leasing programs including the Automated Advanced Acquisition Program (AAAP), contracted broker services, the “G-REX” lease transaction management tool, FEMA disaster leasing, internal performance measures, and more. Aggregating these programs under one branch drives organizational alignment, integration, and improves forecasting and reporting.
After graduating from Clarion University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing, Eberly began his GSA career in the Contracts Division, where he was a contract specialist and contracting officer before transitioning to READ.
Eberly has always been passionate about helping the government save taxpayer dollars and has worked to do that in various ways, including a focused effort on how to achieve tenant improvement cost savings during the lease post award process. Eberly says, “In my new role, I’m looking forward to helping Mid-Atlantic PBS keep a clear focus on our leasing performance measures and various leasing programs in order to drive continued savings and high performance for our customers and the taxpayer.”
