Helen Berger selected as Director of Portfolio Management
Mid-Atlantic PBS announces the selection of Helen Berger to serve as the Director of the Portfolio Management Division. The Portfolio Management team is responsible for maximizing and enhancing the value of the regional PBS real estate portfolio and client portfolio through asset-based and customer-based planning functions.
Berger began her federal career in 2002 with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command as an appraiser and a real estate specialist where she worked until 2006. She then joined GSA as an asset manager in Portfolio Management. Since then, she has served as a project manager and held the positions of lead asset manager and branch chief in Portfolio Management.
Berger has led long-range planning efforts and managed significant lease replacement projects for some of Mid-Atlantic Region PBS’ largest client agencies including Social Security Administration, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Environmental Protection Agency, and the Department of Health and Human Services.
Berger graduated from Rowan University in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration/finance. Berger earned and continues to maintain the Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers (FAC-P/PM). FAC-P/PM establishes education, training, and experience requirements for essential functional and technical competencies needed for program and project managers.
Berger says, “I’m excited for the opportunity to lead the Mid-Atlantic Region’s Portfolio Management Division at a time when our collective efforts to reshape the government’s real estate footprint has the potential for significant and meaningful impacts.”
