GSA has completed a full renovation of the District Clerk’s office for the U.S. Courts Eastern District of Pennsylvania, located in the federally owned James A. Byrne U.S. Courthouse in Philadelphia. The project consolidated the Clerk’s space, previously spread throughout 48,000 square feet on two floors, into one 35,000 square foot contiguous suite.
The Chief Judge and Clerk of Court expressed interest in releasing space through a more streamlined office approach that would incorporate an open layout with various meeting and collaboration spaces and fewer private offices.
The newly finished space is comfortable, colorful, and designed for both collaborative and focused work. The office includes workstations alongside ample conference and huddle rooms, and features touchdown and drop-in soft seating. Conference rooms incorporate moveable partitions, allowing flexibility to accommodate a variety of groups and purposes. A kitchenette is also included.
