Camille Murray from Department of Transportation briefed the attendees July 14 on a large scale construction tier two business case.

Dozens of participants from several agencies to include GSA, Office of Management and Budget, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Department of Transportation, U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Navy gathered virtually July 16 for a quarterly Facilities and Construction Category Management Leadership meeting.

The attendees provided progress updates on several collaborative efforts, reviewed case studies and shared information of mutual interest across the agencies.

U.S. Air Force representative Megan Robare discussed her tiger team’s work on a standardized Base Operations Support performance work statement.

“The standardized BOS template is a great example of a cross-agency, cross-cutting effort,” said Facilities and Construction Category Manager Mary Ruwwe. “I’m just so excited. It’s been about five years looking at this, and the potential is huge for the DoD services to join together. Contractors will be thankful, and it’s a great opportunity for increased efficiency across government.”
