GSA Region 6 PBS and FAS at GovCon and Innovation Expo

Regional Administrator Denise Maes joined PBS, FAS, and OSDBU representatives at Senator Joni Ernst's GovCon and Innovation Expo in Ames, Iowa, on Friday, September 22. 

PBS Acting Deputy Director Shellie Gill, Capital Construction and IDV Branch Chief Maria Doedtman, and Small Business Technical Advisor with the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization Bill Strobel presented information to assist potential contractors on how to work with GSA. 

Doedtman presented a program explaining Region 6's current and future small business opportunities and how to write a successful technical proposal. Gill added a leasing perspective to the presentation.

FAS Customer and Stakeholder Engagement Division (CASE) representatives provided information on how customers and contractors can navigate GSA contract vehicles, programs and services.

“Overall feedback from the presentation was positive,” Doedtman wrote, “with great questions and discussions arising from the program.”

“The expo was just terrific,” Maes wrote. “The speakers and entrepreneurs were inspiring and the breakout sessions were very substantive and informative. I really thank the good Senator for putting this expo together and for the invitation to join.”

“GSA attendees are looking forward to working with many new potential contractors met at this event,” Doedtman wrote.
