Joshua Harman is the new building manager of the Roman L. Hruska U.S. Courthouse in Omaha, Nebraska. He was promoted into the position after previous building manager Tim Ronan was named lease administration manager for the Nebraska Field Office.

Harman has three years of experience managing the courthouse and worked alongside Ronan since joining GSA in 2019.

Prior to that, Harman served as a construction inspector and contracting officer’s representative for base service contracts at Offutt Air Force Base. He has an extensive technical background and experience working with electrical and HVAC systems.

While on active duty, Harman maintained two specialties: aerospace ground equipment craftsman and flying crew chief on the E-4B. The E-4B is a Boeing 747 that serves as the National Airborne Operations Center.

Harman is married with two children and enjoys fishing, traveling and motorcycle riding.

How has your previous experience prepared you to take on the role as primary building manager at Hruska?

I did 10 years active duty in the U.S. Air Force on the Presidential Support Mission, five years building management in the greater Omaha area, eight years of civil service at Offutt AFB in the Civil Engineering Squadron, and three years as a building management specialist at Hruska for GSA. My past experiences have taught me about customer service, the importance of integrity, and being a team player.

What are you looking forward to most about the new position?

I am excited to add to my expertise and learn from the people around me. In my new position, I'll have the chance to work closely with the tenants and continue to foster the relationship between the tenants and GSA.
