Benjamin Kenney Appointed Associate Administrator of GSA’s Office of Strategic Communication

Washington, D.C.—The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announces Benjamin Kenney  as Associate Administrator in the Office of Strategic Communication. As an appointee of President Donald J. Trump, Kenney will oversee all the nationwide communication initiatives for GSA and and ensure the strategic communication policies are in context with the Trump administration.

Kenney comes to GSA from the office of then- Indiana Governor Mike Pence, where he served in a number of positions, including most recently, as director of strategic communications. In that role, he served as an official spokesperson for the state of Indiana, oversaw the development of internal and external communications, managed press conferences, speeches and executive briefings for the offices of the governor and lieutenant governor, and oversaw development of gubernatorial marketing materials.

Prior to that role, he served as a legislative and political aide to then-U.S. Senator Dan Coats (IN), and in several private sector public affairs positions.

Kenney holds a bachelor of arts in political science from Purdue University.
