GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service Announces Leadership Changes

Mary Davie Named Deputy Commissioner of FAS

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) announced several changes to its leadership team to better serve the agency, its customers and taxpayers.

FAS Commissioner Alan Thomas named Mary Davie FAS deputy commissioner. Davie brings to the position 29 years of experience in IT and acquisition with GSA, including 12 years in the role of assistant commissioner, most recently with the FAS Office of Information Technology Category and prior to that in the FAS Office of Assisted Acquisition Services.

“Mary’s depth of experience working with stakeholders across government, industry and FAS’s customers is second to none. It’s provided her with an excellent perspective from which to guide the organization as it moves forward,” said Thomas. “Mary is well poised to support our FAS leadership team as we continue to build on recent successes, including improved employee, customer and supplier satisfaction and driving additional savings and efficiencies into the federal procurement landscape.”

“As we build our vision for the future, I am happy to be working with such a talented and skilled leadership team,” said Thomas. “The willingness of our team of civil servants to apply their individual strengths and experiences to new opportunities has FAS well-positioned to be successful long into the future.”
