GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service Announces Leadership Changes
Mary Davie Named Deputy Commissioner of FAS
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) announced several changes to its leadership team to better serve the agency, its customers and taxpayers.
FAS Commissioner Alan Thomas named Mary Davie FAS deputy commissioner. Davie brings to the position 29 years of experience in IT and acquisition with GSA, including 12 years in the role of assistant commissioner, most recently with the FAS Office of Information Technology Category and prior to that in the FAS Office of Assisted Acquisition Services.
“Mary’s depth of experience working with stakeholders across government, industry and FAS’s customers is second to none. It’s provided her with an excellent perspective from which to guide the organization as it moves forward,” said Thomas. “Mary is well poised to support our FAS leadership team as we continue to build on recent successes, including improved employee, customer and supplier satisfaction and driving additional savings and efficiencies into the federal procurement landscape.”

Additional Leadership Changes:
Kay Ely has been designated to fill the post as assistant commissioner for the FAS Office of Information Technology Category.
Bob Noonan, currently assistant commissioner for the FAS Office of Systems Management will move to the role of acting assistant commissioner of the FAS Office of General Supplies and Services.
Dave Zvenyach, currently the acting executive director of 18F, will be acting assistant commissioner for the FAS Office of Systems Management. Rebecca Piazza will be serving as acting executive director for 18F.
Erv Koehler will leave his position as FAS regional commissioner for the Southeast Sunbelt Region and he will move into the role of assistant commissioner of the FAS Office of Customer Accounts and Stakeholder Engagement (CASE).
Kim Brown will leave her position as assistant commissioner for CASE and return to her previously held position of FAS regional commissioner for the GSA Great Lakes Region.
