Bureau of Labor Statistics Relocation
Final Environmental Assessment
Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act, as amended (NEPA) (42 United States Code 4321, et seq.) and the Council on Environmental Quality Regulations for Implementing the Procedural Provisions of NEPA (40 Code of Federal Regulations Parts 1500-1508), the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed relocation of 1,800 employees from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), from the Postal Square Building at 2 Massachusetts Avenue, NE, Washington, DC, to the Suitland Federal Center (SFC) at 4600 Silver Hill Road, Suitland, Maryland. GSA has determined that the proposed action, as described in the Final EA, is not a major Federal action significantly affecting the quality of the human environment. A FONSI has been prepared.
