Built as a temporary structure in 1919 to house the growing Liberty Loans bond program during World War I, the Liberty Loan building has long outlived its expected life span, housing Treasury organizations throughout its history and numerous government agencies along the way. Today, the building hosts the Treasury's Bureau of the Fiscal Service.
