Fritz G. Lanham Federal Building
The Fritz G. Lanham Federal Office Building, located at 819 Taylor Street in Fort Worth, Texas, is named after Fritz Garland Lanham, a U.S. Representative from Texas who was born in Weatherford, Texas, and served in Congress from 1919 to 1947. The lobby interior boasts white marble walls, floors, and support columns and includes a cafeteria, snack bar and a health unit.
The building opened in 1966, and has accommodated federal agencies as they accomplish their mission and the public they serve. It was recognized as an ENERGY STAR® qualified building in 1999. In 2006, the building celebrated its 50th anniversary since it's opening.
The Fritz G. Lanham Federal Building serves as GSA's Regional Office Building for the Greater Southwest Region.
