[Corner of 19th & Champa Street]
Denver, CO
Welcome to the Alfred A. Arraj U.S. Courthouse, the newest addition to Denver’s Federal District. The courthouse is designed to fulfill expansion needs for the district of Colorado in a secure environment over the next 30 years.
The Alfred A. Arraj U.S. Courthouse is a 10-story high rise with approximately 325,000 gross square footage and 255,000 rentable square feet.
It consists of two structures, the pavilion building and the tower building, containing ten district courtrooms, four magistrate judge courtrooms, and one special proceedings courtroom.
The Alfred A. Arraj U.S. Courthouse is a candidate for a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) silver rating, and serves as a model of sustainable design, or environmentally friendly design.
Additionally, its energy efficiency - provided through a combination of key “green features” - such as aggressive use of natural daylight and highly efficient mechanical and electrical systems - reduces utility costs.
The U.S. Courts are pleased with the underfloor air distribution system, particularly its quiet operation. The Alfred A. Arraj It features low-velocity air introduced at the floor level to efficiently condition the space and remove indoor air pollutants.
U.S. Courthouse is an example of GSA’s continuing commitment to Design Excellence. GSA’s Design Excellence Program was created to ensure that federal architecture could be a source of pride in local communities, and to attract the best design talent available for creating outstanding facilities to serve the American public.
