PBS’s Role in Planning and Installing Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure

| PBS EV Team
Post filed in: Climate

GSA’s Public Buildings Service (PBS) plays a key role in supporting the electrification of the federal fleet. To that end, we are establishing a process for federal entities to acquire and install electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) and associated infrastructure.

Recent executive actions call for the government to achieve 100% zero-emission vehicle acquisitions by 2035, including 100% zero-emission light-duty vehicle acquisitions by 2027.

Order with IDIQs

GSA is setting up governmentwide design/build Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts to meet your federal agency's EVSE design and installation needs. We use IDIQs when we are not sure of the precise amounts of supplies or services that will be needed. IDIQs streamline the contracting process and speed up project delivery.

When this IDIQ is combined with the Federal Acquisition Service's Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for EVSE and ancillary services (contract award anticipated Spring 2022), you get a set of solutions that delivers on multiple fronts.
