Erica S. Beardsley
As Chair of the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals, Judge Beardsley manages cases, conducts hearings, issues opinions and orders, and serves as a neutral in alternative dispute resolution proceedings. As Chair, she is additionally responsible for management of the tribunal itself.
Before her appointment as Chair of the CBCA, Erica served as Vice Chair of the CBCA beginning Oct. 1, 2017. She became a member of the CBCA on May 29, 2016, after having served as a trial attorney at the U.S. Army Legal Services Agency, Contract and Fiscal Law Division from 2010–2016.
In her previous positions, Erica served as Board Editor of the William and Mary Law Review; as a law clerk to Hon. James E. Bradberry, Magistrate Judge, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia in 1995–1996; and as an associate and then partner at Watt, Tieder, Hoffar & Fitzgerald, LLP from 1996-2010.
Erica holds a law degree from the William and Mary Law School and a bachelor’s degree from University of Virginia. She is a member of the bars of Virginia and District of Columbia.
