GSA announces public sale of vacant ocean-front parcel at Conanicut Point in Jamestown, Rhode Island

BOSTON – Starting today, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) is offering for sale by public auction a vacant, ocean-front parcel in Jamestown, RI. The site is adjacent to the former U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) lighthouse located at Conanicut Point.

GSA is marketing the parcel for sale on behalf of the USCG. Proceeds from the sale will be returned to the USCG to support their housing mission.

Property Details:

  • The 5,085 square feet property is vacant.
  • Is adjacent to and previously was a portion of the former USCG lighthouse located at the north end (Conanicut Point) of Jamestown, RI.  
  • The property has frontage on North Bayview Drive.
  • The property is identified as Plat 1 Lot 226 in the Town of Jamestown registry.

Auction Details:

  • The auction is currently open.
  • Interested bidders are required to register in advance and submit a $5,000 registration deposit. 
  • The starting bid is $20,000. 
  • Bid increments are $1,000. 
  • Site inspections will only be offered to registered bidders.
