PHILADELPHIA — The U.S. General Services Administration announces a public online auction sale of the former Federal Building property in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Previously owned by the Art Center LLC, the property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is subject to historic preservation requirements.

The online auction is part of GSA’s ongoing efforts to dispose of excess properties saving taxpayer dollars and making more efficient use of the government’s real estate assets. For more information on GSA’s online auctions, visit www.RealEstateSales.gov.

“By offering this historic property through public auction, GSA can reduce our real estate footprint, save taxpayer money and better manage GSA’s real estate assets,” stated GSA Regional Commissioner Joanna Rosato. “Through auctioning this property GSA is hoping to offer this building a new opportunity to benefit the citizens of Martinsburg.”
