GSA announces public auction for former FAA tower site in Lower Salem, Ohio

CHICAGO – The U.S. General Services Administration is auctioning a former Federal Aviation Administration tower site in Lower Salem, Ohio, as part of its mission to deliver value and savings in real estate, acquisition, technology, and other mission support services across the government. 

The 45-acre property is located along the east side of Ohio State Route 530, approximately 1,000 feet north of T114 in Lower Salem, Ohio.   


Property Details

The property is covered with trees and thick brush, except for a remaining gravel drive. 

Neighboring properties include a mix of wooded land and residential use types.

Procurement of utility service shall be the responsibility of the purchaser as of the date of conveyance. Bidders are urged to contact the appropriate utility providers for information on the availability of utilities. The property is offered “AS IS” and “WHERE IS.”

Auction Details

 
The auction opened on October 8, 2021, at 2 p.m. CT. Those interested in bidding are required to register in advance and submit a $10,000 registration deposit. The starting bid will be $50,000, and bid increments will be $2,500.
