GSA executes contract to purchase property for new Des Moines federal courthouse

DES MOINES, Iowa – The U.S. General Services Administration has executed a contract to purchase the property for the new Des Moines federal courthouse.

The federal government and Hubbell Terminal Corporation reached a mutually acceptable agreement regarding the sale of  the property located at 101 Locust St. for $6,487,173.

“GSA is pleased to be able to move forward on this project and provide the Judiciary with a facility to help them fulfill their important mission,” said Heartland Acting Regional Commissioner Kevin Rothmier. “GSA is committed to meeting the needs of our customer agencies in a way that represents the best value for American taxpayers.”
