Where is your hometown?

Kansas City, Kansas

What other federal government or military experience have you had and for how long?

I started my federal government career in 2002 (19 years ago). I worked for the Social Security Administration for 6.5 years, GSA for 9.5 years, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for 3 years and now I am back at GSA. My contracting experience, as a contract specialist/contracting officer, began in 2008.

What is your alma mater, degree or special training?

Kansas State University, degree in secondary education. I was a 7th-grade teacher for 7 years.

How do you recharge your batteries outside of work?

Walking, working out, and reading.

Tell us a little about yourself. Children? Pets? Married? Hobbies?

Married with 3 children and 6 grandchildren. My hobbies include volunteering as a Planning & Zoning City Commissioner, doing voice-over work, writing, and spending time with family.

What three words best describe your personality?

Positivity, Determination, and Humility.

What characteristic or value do you most admire in others?

Integrity.
